MUV 69 High-Precision Micro-Chassis Kit H0
This mini-chassis was developed primarily for the MUV 69 (Hekttor) etched kit, but thanks to its compact design, it can be adapted for various other H0 scale utility or special-purpose vehicles.
The MUV 69 chassis proves that even in minimal dimensions, it is possible to achieve top-tier performance without compromise. It is designed to be nearly invisible once installed, while offering a powerful motor and reliable power collection. Building this technical unit yourself allows you to peek into the world of precision micro-mechanics and create a model with running qualities that are rare for machines of this size.
The part count is low, but don't let that fool you—the M0.2 gears require a very steady hand and keen eyesight. It’s a straightforward but miniature project for those comfortable working under a magnifying glass.
Main Features:
- Extreme Compactness: A design that minimizes space requirements while maintaining high torque.
- Three-Point Suspension: The rear axle features a rocker (floating) mount, ensuring smooth travel even on uneven trackwork.
- Reliable Drive: Both axles are driven by a RIC-0816DT coreless motor and equipped with power pickups.
Kit Contents:
- Frame and Gearboxes: 0.5 mm brass etchings for maximum rigidity.
- Precision Gearing: A combination of M0.2 micro-gears (Mikroantriebe/ALS) and M0.3 gears for ultra-smooth operation.
- Drivetrain: RIC-0816DT coreless motor, ALS cardan shafts, steel shafts, and turned brass bushings.
- Chassis: 7.8 mm diameter wheelsets, phosphor bronze washers, and steel spring wire for suspension.
- Power Pickups: Made from 0.1 mm bronze, including insulated plastic screws and washers.
Build Difficulty:
A real engineering challenge. It’s delicate work with no room for error due to the micro-dimensions and M0.2 gears, but with a bit of patience, you'll get it done—and end up with a masterpiece to be proud of.
